Philippe Jose S. Hernandez

In preparation for the EHS’ 60TH Anniversary in 2010 and the University’s Quadricentennial in 2011, the UST-EHS General Alumni Association, Inc. embarked on the UST-EHS History Project, which is a comprehensive account of the people, places and events that have shaped the Education High School for the past six decades.

Last March 19, 2009, the UST-EHSGAAI, represented by President Emmanuel German V. Plan II and History Project Chairman John M. Simon, signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the University of Santo Tomas, represented by EHS Principal Marishirl P. Tropicales (also representing Fr. Rector Rolando V. de la Rosa, O.P.) to officially commence the making of the project. The intended outputs of the project include a coffee-table book, a DVD presentation, a commemorative exhibition and other ancillary memorabilia. The History Project is earmarked to be completed in October 2010, in time for the culmination of the Diamond Jubilee year of the EHS.

Witnessing the event were OAR Director Evelyn A. Songco, Ph. D., Education Dean Clotilde N. Arcangel, Ph. D., EHS Regent Fr. Romulo V. Rodriguez, O.P. and EHS faculty members.
